Somos un espacio autogestivo y horizontal en el que trabajamos para difundir, estudiar y hacer cine de mujeres, lesbianas y otras identidades no hegemónicas. Conformadas como Cartelera Transfeminista en 2019, y como BARDA en 2023, promovemos nuestro cine a través de formas alternativas de distribución con el propósito de generar audiencias nuevas y ampliar las pre existentes. Nos encargamos no sólo de visibilizar nuestros contenidos en distintas pantallas, sino también de compartir nuestros saberes y el de otras mujeres, lesbianas y otrxs de la industria, a través de charlas y talleres. Nuestro espacio se encuentra en constante transformación, buscando mutar siempre hacia nuevos lugares que nos permitan seguir ampliando el público y modificando las formas de ver el mundo, y el cine.
We are a self-managed and horizontal space where we work to promote, study, and create films by women, lesbians, and other non-hegemonic identities. Formed as the Transfeminist Film Calendar in 2019 and as BARDA in 2023, we promote our films through alternative distribution methods with the aim of reaching new audiences and expanding existing ones. We not only strive to showcase our content on different screens but also to share our knowledge and that of other women, lesbians, and individuals within the industry through talks and workshops. Our space is constantly evolving, always seeking new paths that allow us to continue expanding the audience and changing the ways we perceive the world and cinema.
